Correlation between GEM Premier 3000 and Vitros5.1+5600, SYSMEX XN-9000 in Detecting Electrolytes and Red Blood Cell Volume

Objective: To explore the consistency and relevance of results bedside rapid blood gas analyzer GEM premier 3000, Vitros5.1+5600 biochemical immunoassay SYSMEX XN-9000 automatic cell in central laboratory detecting serum potassium (K+), serumsodium (Na+), glucose (Glu), hemoglobin (Hb) red volume (Hct). And to provide a reference for accurate interpretation analysis report. Method: Usually, ICU patients will be taken arterial gas, samples through indwelling needle; at same time patients’ potassium, sodium, glucose, detected. This study implemented paired t-test correlation regression on each group data, used quality requirements (allowable total error) CLIA’88 proficiency testing program as criteria clinical acceptance. Results: The showed that sodium detected by 3000 were significantly different; different (P +, Na+, Glu, Hb Hct two sets instruments is less than allowable error CLIA’88, SE Na+ half CLIA’88. Conclusion: test have good correlation, but not good. cannot replace laboratory.
